SAN FRANCISCO | Onyx Escape

Who needs a Powder Room anyway? Not this couple, who isn’t afraid to have a little fun. Across the hall from another bathroom and directly connected to the ‘Salon’, a cozy study meets game room, this space was asking for more. The goal: convert the Powder Room into a wet bar that feels like it has always been there but simultaneously elicits opening a jewelry box filled to the brim. Existing datum lines, molding styles and lacquer finishes carry through from adjacent rooms to tie the bar in seamlessly. But a mottled copper sink and color adjustable backlit onyx backsplash make you stop and linger… maybe long enough to offer you a drink?
