SAN RAFAEL | Pattern Play
Warm, bubbly, engaging. With roots in Australia and passions for gardening, cooking, Mahjong and entertaining, this Client leans into fun and chaos. Bringing a similar energy to the design process, we pulled inspiration from artworks, museum exhibits, flowers, magazine clippings. A color palette of ochre, clay, coral and fuchsia unites the first floor, while juxtapositions abound within its rooms: contemporary and antique pieces, tight and loose patterns, layering and negative space. The resulting space feels considered but spontaneous, a reflection of the people who call it home.
